I would agree with what has already been said.

Know the Field. Spend time on the field ahead of time.
Know the Time. We use loaders with timers on them. Halo TSA or Ricochet 2KX loaders. These are no longer made but can still be found on the internet.
Go all out for 30 minutes. Don't walk to the dead box and miss a reinsertion.
Remember Sportsmanship. Play hard, but play fair. If you know you are out then call yourself out. Don't rob someone else of an elimination. Get to the dead box, rest up, and come back out shooting!
Do everything you can to get the other teams flag. It is worth 30 points for the first flag pull. It is ok to give up a swing base if it allows you to push the other side of the field or the middle of the field harder in order to get the opposing teams home flag.

Good luck to all teams planning on playing in the 2010 season.

Hello fellow paintball player, T_DEVIL here I am not going to repeat ALL of the great advice and tips that have been posted previously. Everything that was said was right on the money and if you listen and apply them your bound to have some serious fun and enjoy your tournament experience at the UWL!

What I am going to mention is state of mind or mind set in preparation to your events! Whether(sp) it be a scenario, big game, or tournament event some of the basic tips apply to all.

1. Hydrate- can't stress this enough, if your not a well oiled machine, trilatholon champion! Drink some WATER! LOL yup it's that simple.

2. Get some rest and eat light before the event. This can be difficult with all the excitement brewing in your mind!

3. Plan to have snacks in-between your games in-lue of large lunch meals, peanuts, cellery, oranges, gator aid, power bars, etc. etc. you get the picture! Obviously if their is down time by all means eat, just eat sensably so you don't get sluggish or vomit! and this goes without saying, ensure that you use the restroom facilities prior to going on deck and being in the shoot for the next game.

4. Have a team meeting and figure out what to do if issues arrise? the Capt. should be the spokesperson for the team buut if other matters occur have a plan for dealing with conflict (not that there is any), everyone should attempt to walk the field as a team but more importantly have a Debriefing and see what adjustments may need to be made!

5. If you or your team is not having fun, take a break from the action and talk to someone! most issues can be resolved but if you keep it bottled up! that MAY lead to unsportsmanship action. You don't WANT to be that GUY!

And

6. Set a goal and try to achive it, know what your limitations are but don't be afraid to try out a new division? Remember you get out of it what you put into it. Have a level of expectation and a certain margin for disappointment Your attidude will determine your playing enjoyment!

See you around at the UWL!
