So, what happens when team A is being cleaned off the field by team B, and the last member of team A is shot in the last 20-30 seconds of the period? Team B is required to withdraw, but can't make it all the way back to their starting box in time. Is it just tough luck for team B, who all now sit eliminated while team A gets the field for a free period? Is it deemed a hot insert for team A? Does team B withdraw as far as they can before the horn?
If the latter, what's the guideline for team B's withdrawal? A point on the field? As far as they can walking at a reasonable pace? As far as they can withdraw running? Sprinting?
