I thought it was all just paintball... I could be wrong though.

I know what you are saying, but I think it is naive to say it is all just paintball. There are huge differences between speedball and woodsball and it is good to celebrate those differences and what makes each side of the sport unique and fun.

this is a topic best reserved for another forum, but i hear you.

IMO, it's competition, in the woods. it's going to become about speed and skill.

1. Event that starts more than 30 min late.
2. Prizes that don't cover the entrance fee.
3. Reffs that are lazy, wishy-washy, or show preferential treatment.

Maybe that was 5 things listed as three . ;)

I have to say that one thing I DO like about the SPPL and PSP is that they keep track of who won at thier events and make it public on their websites, game scores and everything like that. I'm still looking at CaliOne on the home page. Does anyone do the "individual player stats" thing?

I think the individual stats thing isn't going to happen until next year from what I have heard as they were working on a some kind of computer system or something to do the calculations and keep track.. Also in order for that to happen it would require more refs to ensure kill counts and such..

But I agree it would be good to get the after action report here AND on the main page.. If Tom needs help with it I know a guy (coughGRINDERcough) that is fairly decent at html..

It's hard to distinguish 3 things that are wrong with different events when each event is different. I think it boils down to the player. Paintball was invented to be fun. Every venue I've been to, I made the most of it. I heard someone go as far as to compare paintball to drugs. You start out with a little bit, before you know it nothing quenches your thirst anymore. You just want it bigger than the last or you want more, more, more. Just take it back to the basics, have fun at what you do. Make the most out of life, it's over before you know it.
It takes balls to play renegade, Paintballs that is
